About the Maker's Club
Hi, I’m Elyce! I’m a homeschool mum, designer and lifelong maker, and the person behind Maker’s Club.
I started Maker’s Club because I wanted to create the kind of creative space I wished existed for our family, somewhere children could make things, get messy, follow their ideas and simply enjoy being creative, without worrying about getting it “right.”
Maker’s Club is a relaxed, low-pressure space for homeschool families on the Gold Coast. Each week we have a themed project or invitation to create, but there’s always room to wander off course, try something different or follow a completely new idea.
Because sometimes the best creations are the ones we never planned.
Grown ups are welcome to stay, make a cuppa, chat, watch their child create, bring along a book or their own craft project — or simply sit and enjoy the morning. There’s no pressure to be chatty or social. Just come as you are.
My hope is that Maker’s Club becomes a little creative community where children feel free to experiment, families feel welcome, and everyone can find their own way of joining in.
