Maker's Club is for homeschool families on the Gold Coast. Our sessions are designed for children who enjoy making, creating, experimenting and following their own ideas.
We welcome a mix of ages and abilities, and siblings are welcome too. Each activity is an invitation rather than a requirement — children can participate in their own way and at their own pace.

Yes. Maker's Club is not a drop-off program. A parent, carer or other grown-up stays with their child for the session.
You don't need to be crafty or artistic yourself! You're very welcome to grab a cuppa, have a chat, watch your child create, bring a book or your own craft project — or simply sit and enjoy the morning.
There's no pressure to be social. Come as you are.
-
Just yourselves and your imagination!
We provide the materials needed for the planned activity.
You may like to bring a water bottle, morning tea, and wear clothes that are happy to get a little messy. Some activities can involve paint, glue, clay or other wonderfully messy materials.

Bookings are made through our TryBooking page.
Places are limited so that we can prepare enough materials and make sure there's plenty of room for everyone to create.
You'll find the booking link on each upcoming session.

Our schedule is a guide, not a rule!
Sometimes a project needs a little more time, materials aren't available, the group takes an idea in a different direction, or we simply discover something more fun along the way.
Activities may occasionally change, but we'll always do our best to provide a creative and enjoyable session.
If we ever need to make a significant change to a session, we'll let booked families know.

We understand that families get sick!
Please refer to the cancellation information provided when booking your session. If something unexpected comes up, you're always welcome to get in touch and let us know.

We want Maker's Club to be a welcoming space where children can participate in their own way.
We don't expect every child to create the same thing, work at the same pace or participate in exactly the same way. Children can take breaks, observe, adapt an activity or follow their own ideas.
If your child has particular needs, sensitivities or anything that would help them feel more comfortable, please get in touch before coming along. We're happy to have a chat about how we can make the session work for your family.

Maker's Club is designed for homeschool children who enjoy creative, hands-on activities. Our sessions aren't tied to a specific school year, so children of different ages can create alongside one another. Some activities may be better suited to particular ages, and we'll note this when relevant.

That's okay! Our activities are invitations, not requirements. Children are welcome to adapt the project, explore the materials in their own way, or simply watch for a while. Sometimes their best ideas are the ones we didn't plan for.
